11 Oct European Innovative Teaching Award at St Joan Antide Primary School

St Joan Antide Primary School Gudja, together with European partner schools from Ireland, Finland and Basque Country, has won the European Innovative Teaching Award for an outstanding project aimed at preserving minority languages in Europe.
Our aim was to promote linguistic diversity and fostering innovative educational practices, creating games, student-recorded videos, and exchange programs that not only engage students in a fun and interactive way but also create a rich and immersive language learning experience. This not only preserves languages but also instils a sense of cultural appreciation and global awareness among students. Creativity and technology can be harnessed to make language learning enjoyable and effective. Educators in these schools are committed to education, cultural preservation, and international cooperation. Erasmus+ and e-Twinning projects not only benefit the school community but also contribute to the broader European goal of preserving linguistic diversity and promoting inclusion.
The partner schools’ successful co-operation in this endeavour was truly inspiring and deserving of this prestigious award.
